| Since first opening just off the main street in Dingwall, Panacea has grown, diversified and moved to bigger premises…a few doors up the road. Folk from all walks of life come in to the shop, and Cornelia works hard to meet their diverse needs. | ||

The shop is lovingly decorated. Walking in you feel immediate calm. Many alternative remedy and crystal shops are run purely as a business, but here it’s about a way of life and seeing the world – and the products are of a fantastic quality. Panacea’s range of herbal remedies is impressive, and the extensive crystal selection complements this. They range from over a hundred kinds of tumblestones, beautiful raw crystals and specimens, to polished points, crystal balls and eggs, and a huge range of dowsers and jewellery. Also in stock are raw herbs and spices for making teas, potions or just a tasty curry or winter stew. Cornelia is able to give advice on all of her products. All the extra space has not just meant Panacea can stock a greater volume of products, but that Cornelia can include more handmade crafts. So you can now get Panacea Spell Kits (with locally-made candles) and Panacea Potions – for everything from eczema to sprained ankles! Extra-special are the Fairy Glen Wands. These have been made with wind-blown wood from the Fairy Glen near Rosemarkie, and are magic indeed! They are selected and crafted with care, and finished with crystals and feathers. Also exclusive is Green Woman Jewellery; lovingly designed and handcrafted by Cornelia and her friend Debbie – they have just finished making matching headdresses, earrings and necklaces for a local wedding. The cosy nook at the back of the shop is used for such diverse purposes as reiki, card readings and food intolerance testing. Panacea sells cards, solid-colour candles, some books, oil burners and natural body care products like shampoos, soaps and over 60 different essential oils. As many items as possible are from local suppliers, as Cornelia strongly believes her business should be ethical. Stop in next time you are in Dingwall, or if you can’t get there, Cornelia also posts out all but the heaviest items. |
