THE FLUKE

Previously known as the 'New Market Inn' on Fluke Street, today's establishment is very different to its predecessor. The sights of Scotland's newest city, Inverness, now surround 'The Fluke.

The Fluke encompasses what you would expect from a pub. Pleasant surroundings where you and your friends can relax and enjoy yourself time and time again.

Situated a mile from the city centre on Culcabock Road, The Fluke allows you to take time out and enjoy a drink, a meal or perhaps take pleasure from the activities & entertainment available.

HISTORY

John Barras Snr and his partner William Johnston established John Barras in Gateshead in 1770. John Barras Snr died in 1811, aged 66, leaving a fortune of more than ?30,000.

The brewery was left to John Barras Jnr, who set about expanding the brewery. They were dedicated to giving all customers "A Good Deal of Quality" when it came to food and drink.

This dedication is still present today when you visit any John Barras & Co pub, none so more than 'The Fluke'. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and on hand to see to your needs.
