Our Philosophy of Care Clachnaharry House nursing home aims to provide its clients with a secure, relaxed and homely environment, in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance. Care staff will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all clients within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in doing so will be sensitive to the client's ever changing needs. Such needs may be medical, therapeutic, cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social. Clients are encouraged to participate in the development of their individual plan of care, in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate and is greatly valued. The core values of care, which are fundamental to the philosophy of the home, are privacy, dignity, rights, independence, choice, fulfilment, security, respect and equality. A continuous staff training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest initiatives and developments in care practice as may be laid down in appropriate legislation, regulations and the National Care Standards Commission guidelines. |

Quality of Life All service users admitted into a nursing home do not leave their personalities at the door. Nor do they lose their basic human needs for respect, encouragement and friendliness. All individuals need to retain as much control over the events in their daily lives as possible. |
